Le Mask Paris Review - Our Naughty Paris Origin Story

New Swinger Podcast | Apple | Spotify

Our wild origin story begins at Le Mask in Paris—our first swinger club, thanks to a cheeky guidebook Naughty Paris. From sexy French consent to burlesque and love hotels, this night changed everything!

By: Kat Swings

Our journey into the lifestyle didn’t start with a plan—it started with a book. Naughty Paris was our missing link, the cheeky little guidebook that led us straight to our aha moment. What we thought would be a playful peek into Paris’s risqué side turned into so much more. That night at Le Mask—our first-ever swinger club—was the spark that lit the fire. From sexy French consent (touch first, ask later—oui, please) to burlesque at Theatre Chochotte and rent-by-the-hour fantasy suites at Love Hotel, Paris showed us a world we didn’t know we were craving. And we’ve been addicted ever since. This is where it all began.

Join Kat & Leo as they spill all the juicy details of their first swinger club visit in this can’t-miss episode of the Vanilla Swingers podcast.

Le Mask paris bar

First Impressions – Le Mask is tucked right in the heart of Paris, but blink and you might miss it. The entrance is discreet, just to the right of the building number, with only a small doorbell to signal you’ve found the spot. When we arrived for the first time, we rang the bell with nervous excitement. An attractive young woman answered, giving us a subtle once-over to assess our outfits before offering a knowing smile and beckoning us inside. We had our masks ready—because, at the time, that was part of the allure—and we weren’t alone. More than half of the patrons, along with the bartenders, were masked, adding a mysterious, erotic elegance to the entire atmosphere. It was like stepping into an exclusive, sensual masquerade. Since then, we’ve returned, and the masks have mostly disappeared, but that first visit? The masks gave it an edge—a seductive panache—that we’ll never forget.

Dress Code – The dress code at Le Mask is definitely more relaxed compared to the high standards at Les Chandelles, but it still leans dressy and chic. Women are expected to wear heels and either a dress or skirt, though it’s not as strict as stilettos-only. I wore wedge heels and was totally fine. For men, evening pants and dress shoes seem to be the current standard—at least on our last visit. That said, our first time a year earlier, Leo strolled right in wearing khaki pants and white Vans without an issue. So, like many things in Paris, your mileage may vary depending on the night and the doorkeeper’s mood. When in doubt, lean dressy—you’ll never regret showing up looking tres chic.

Les Chandelles Review

Inside Tour –Stepping inside Le Mask, you’re greeted by a medium-sized bar tended by a couple of undeniably good-looking bartenders. You’ll likely make your way there first—after all, your entry fee includes a free drink each, so why not sip a little liquid courage? The whole space hums with a sultry, sexy energy—red, black, and dimly lit everywhere—the kind of place that makes you want to lean in close and speak in hushed tones. Past the bar, there’s a small couch and seating area, but the real magic is just beyond that—the main lounge area, giving speakeasy-meets-erotic-lounge vibes. Picture eight semi-circular low couches, perfect for mingling, sipping drinks, and exchanging flirtatious glances. Later in the evening? Those couches become prime real estate for play and voyeur fun. As the Naughty Paris guide so perfectly put it, this space is ideal for “peekaboo sessions with your neighbors.” And, well… let’s just say, oui, absolutely.

DJ/Danceclub – Now, when you head downstairs, get ready—the vibe shifts from flirty lounge to full-blown seduction mode. You spiral down this circular stairway that is practically dripping in sex appeal—think dark velour walls with sparkles, masks peeking out at you like they know exactly what you’re about to get into. The stairway opens into a tiny foyer-slash-dance area, emphasis on tiny. There’s a DJ tucked in the corner, a stripper pole teasing you in the middle, and a couple benches along the wall for when you need to rest your stiletto’d feet—but don’t get it twisted, this is not a dance club. There’s barely room for 6-8 people to sway without grinding on each other (though… maybe that’s the point?). The music is hot, the vibe is hotter, but the real action? Just beyond.

Le Mask Paris stairwell

“The first room is anchored by a king-sized bed, perfect for 3 couples to line up like the sexiest French buffet you’ve ever seen.“

Playrooms –Off that steamy little dance nook, you’ll find two playrooms ready to make your Parisian fantasies come true. The first room is anchored by a king-sized bed, perfect for 3 couples to line up like the sexiest French buffet you’ve ever seen. The second room? A larger group bed built for 8, with a little alcove tucked off to the side for the truly adventurous. The decor? Think red and black, dimly lit, nothing fancy—but let’s be real, you’re not here for the wallpaper. There’s no requirement to undress, which means you’ll catch French men in unbuttoned dress shirts and women lounging in lingerie and heels—because, of course. The result? A decadent, half-dressed dream. Ooh la la, indeed!

Staff –The staff at Le Mask are a vibe all their own—young, attractive, and oh-so-Parisian chic. (Kat, stop looking!!) On our first visit, many wore those sultry Venetian masks, adding a delicious air of mystery. Sadly, on our most recent trip, the masks had vanished, but the staff were still just as easy on the eyes. They’re friendly but low-key, gliding through the shadows like sexy ghosts, there if you need them—but never in your way.

Vibe Check – If Les Chandelles is the upscale Parisian cocktail party where everyone’s flawless, Le Mask is more like the sexy afterparty where you can actually let loose. It’s less exclusive, less intimidating, but still gives that European polish we love—think better dressed than the US scene, but not quite the designer runway vibes of Chandelles. And while the playrooms are on the smaller side, that just means the action often spills into the speakeasy lounge upstairs—which, let’s be honest, only adds to the delicious voyeur energy. Bodies in all shapes, ages, and flavors are welcomed here, and the mood is sensual, not stiff. But what really sets the vibe apart? That oh-so-French approach to consent—touch first, ask later. We know, we know—gasp—but when done respectfully, it’s intoxicating. Sometimes, words kill the moment. Here, it’s the language of love, lust, and a gentle caress. And we’re absolutely here for it.

Would we go back? – Absolutely—yes, yes, and hell yes! Le Mask will always have a special place in our hearts; it was our first club, our lifestyle awakening. Sure, the initial sparkle has dimmed a little as we’ve explored more clubs around the world, but it still holds its charm. It’s the perfect spot for newbies—low pressure, flirty, and oh-so-watchable. Whether you’re dipping your toes into the lifestyle or a seasoned pro craving a sultry Parisian night, Le Mask delivers. Come to watch, be watched, and maybe—just maybe—find your own “oops, are we swingers now?” moment.
